Dr. Miguel Rodriguez
Dr. Miguel Rodriquez, Psy.D is a Psychological Assistant working under the direct supervision of Dr. Surina Mazzola.
He completed his pre-doctoral training at Wasatch Behavioral Health in Provo, Utah where he provided therapy and neuropsychological assessments to individual across the lifespan with a broad range of different needs. Prior to his time in Utah, he completed training at both Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) and Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) where he was known for his empathic, practical, and relational clinical approach to working with diverse clients and their families.
Dr. Rodriguez specializes in psychological assessments of infants, children, teens, and adults for various diagnoses related to ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, emotional difficulties, and behavioral problems to name a few. In therapy, Dr. Rodriguez is trained to work with individuals of all ages as well as families and couples with various difficulties. He has experience and training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Parent Management Training, Affirmative Psychotherapy and other empirically supported treatments designed to help people with a broad range of challenges. Dr. Rodriguez can also provide all services in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Rodriguez has many passions outside of his work at Newport Beach Family Development Center including hiking, camping, and cooking.
